What We Collect and Why

We may collect your contact details, health information, information submitted through our forms or patient portal, appointment and payment information, and relevant information provided by healthcare professionals or services involved in your care.

We collect this information to:

• Respond to enquiries and assess patient applications
• Arrange appointments and provide or coordinate care
• Communicate with you and relevant healthcare providers
• Maintain clinical and administrative records
• Meet our professional and legal obligations

Providing information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide information that we reasonably need, we may be unable to assess your application or provide safe and appropriate care.

Access, Disclosure and Storage

Your information may be accessed by authorised NeuroBalance team members and by service providers that securely store or process information on our behalf.

Where appropriate and permitted by law, relevant information may also be shared with healthcare providers, laboratories or services involved in your care, or with agencies where disclosure is authorised or legally required. We disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Some of our technology providers may process or store information outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate privacy, confidentiality and security safeguards are in place.

We do not sell your personal or health information or use it for unrelated marketing without your permission.

Security and Retention

We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.

Clinical records are generally retained for at least 10 years from the date of the most recent information recorded, as required by New Zealand law. Other information is retained only for as long as it is reasonably needed or legally required.

You may ask to access or correct the information we hold about you.
